friday trickling

so today, like so many fridays is trickling away

very slowly

so i'm sitting here at work, wondering if i actually have any work to do, knowing that i have 30 different things that i should be doing at home. and really just wanting to be cuddled up with my girl.

she's adorable.

and i get to see her tonight. i can't wait. she'll be tired and grumpy. but i'll kiss her and she'll put her arms around me and we'll sleep. i'll wake up before she does and stare out the window at random objects blowing down the empty street. and i'll read. until she opens her eyes and says, "what are you doing over there?" . and i'll get up, pad across the room and hop back in bed. where we'll sleep again. until we're hungry.

i can't wait. i want to be there now.

the good news is, it's going to rain. so i can wear my utterly adorable rain boots.
